BODY SLIMMING AND RESHAPING

  1. NON-SURGICAL LOCALIZED FAT REDUCTION

Almost everyone would like to change certain parts of their body. The waistline, thighs, butt, and arms are common areas in which people tend to store excess body fat. Achieving change through diet and exercise takes time and effort, leaving those who desire a quick fix in search of a faster solution. Therefore, Non‐invasive body contouring is a rapidly growing field in cosmetic dermatology. Using Non‐invasive contouring devices improve the body's appearance through the removal of excess adipose tissue, particularly in areas in which fat persists despite optimal diet and exercise routine.

FDA‐approved non‐invasive body contouring modalities: like cryolipolysis, laser, high‐intensity focused electromagnetic field, radiofrequency, and high‐intensity focused ultrasound. These devices have emerged as a popular alternative to surgical body contouring due to their efficacy, favourable safety profile, minimal recovery time and reduced cost. Although they do not achieve the same results as liposuction, they are an attractive alternative for patients who do not want the risks or costs associated with surgery. When used appropriately and correctly, these devices have demonstrated excellent clinical efficacy and safety also can be used for skin tightening.

LIPODISSOLVE INJECTIONS

Lipodissolve injection is similar to mesotherapy, it is an injection lipolysis dissolution solution that is an alternative to a more invasive liposuction procedure. Lipodissolve, however, has a standard formulation consisting of the primary ingredients phosphatidylcholine (PC) and deoxycholate (DC).

Areas can be treated with Lipodissolve are abdomen, sides, arms, hips, double chin, love handles and any pocket of fat in the body.

The ideal candidate for lipodissolve has stubborn fat deposits that are persistent despite diet and exercise.

Lipodissolve is not recommended for those at unhealthy weights, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with soy allergies, or firm or fibrous fat deposits.

Most patients experience limited downtime and recover from lipodissolve within a day or two.

Normal activities can be resumed after the procedure, but strenuous exercise should be limited for a few days. Redness, swelling, and bruising will resolve within 10 days.

lipodissolve procedure include redness, stinging, swelling, bruising, light-headedness, nodule formation at the injection site, allergic reaction, and skin necrosis.

results will become visible after multiple initial injections. Typically, four to 10 injections spaced six to eight weeks apart are used for best results. Results will change with weight gain, pregnancy, and aging.

CELLULITE TREATMENT

Cellulite is the name for collections of fat that push against the connective tissue beneath your skin. It often appears on your thighs, stomach, and butt (buttocks). Cellulite makes the surface of your skin look lumpy and puckered or appear dimpled.

Cellulite is very common. Between 80% and 90% of all women who’ve gone through puberty have cellulite. Less than 10% of men have cellulite. Genetics, sex, age, the amount of fat on your body and your skin’s thickness determine how much cellulite you have and how visible it is. As you age, your skin loses elasticity and can make the appearance of cellulite more evident. Gaining weight can also make the appearance of cellulite more prominent.

Cellulite has four grades:

  1. Grade 0: There isn’t any cellulite on your body.

  2. Grade 1: Your skin is smooth when you stand up, but mild dimpling appears when you sit down.

  3. Grade 2: Your skin has moderate dimples when you stand up or when you sit down.

  4. Grade 3: Your skin has severe dimples when you stand up or sit down. Your skin also features deep peaks and valleys (raised and depressed areas).

It’s not known what exactly causes cellulite. Cellulite forms when fibrous bands connecting your skin to the underlying muscle tighten irregularly. This tightening pulls down on your skin, and the normal layer of fat beneath the skin pushes upward. The result is a puckering appearance to the skin.

It’s also not known why cellulite is more common in women than men. One theory involves the bands connecting your skin, your hypodermis (subcutaneous tissue) and deep muscle layers. In men, the fibres that make up the connective bands crisscross together. In women, the fibres that make up the connective bands run the same direction and are an equal distance apart (parallel). Parallel bands may show puckering better than crisscross bands.

Another theory is that higher amounts of the hormone oestrogen may cause cellulite. Cellulite often develops when women produce more estragon, usually during adolescence or pregnancy.

TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR CELLULITE

  1. Laser and radiofrequency treatments. Various wounding (ablative) laser treatments are available to treat cellulite. In one method, a thin fiber is slipped under the skin to deliver laser heat that destroys the fibrous bands binding fat. This approach has been shown to reduce the appearance of cellulite from six months to a year. Further study is needed.

There's also a device that uses heat (radiofrequency) for nonablative treatment that improves how the skin looks. You'll likely need several sessions before you notice an improvement in the appearance of your skin. Nonablative treatments typically need to be repeated more often than do ablative treatments.

  1. Cryolipolysis. With (CoolSculpting), fat below the skin is reduced with a device that uses vacuum suction to raise tissue into contact with cooling plates. You'll need multiple treatments. Results appear gradually over two to three months.

  2. Acoustic wave therapy. With this technique, a technician applies gel to the affected skin and runs a small, hand-held device (transducer) over the area. The transducer sends sound waves into your body, breaking up cellulite. You'll likely need several sessions before you notice an improvement in the appearance of your skin.

  3. Surgery. Your doctor may offer one of various procedures that use needles, blades or other special tools to separate the fibrous bands under the skin (subcision) in an effort to smooth the skin. One method also uses fat grafting to improve skin appearance. Results from these techniques may last two to three years. Complications of these techniques may include pain and bleeding beneath the skin.

  4. Some cellulite treatments are based on the concept that vigorous massage will increase lymphatic flow, remove toxins and reduce excess fluid in cellulite-prone areas. better method in particular, Endermologie — which has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a medical device with little potential to cause harm — uses a hand-held machine to knead the skin between rollers. You might notice a slight improvement to your skin, but the results are typically short-lived.

  5. Carboxytherapy, during this medical procedure, carbon dioxide (CO2) gas is inserted just beneath the skin. CO2 differs from carbon monoxide, which can be deadly. Possible side effects from carboxytherapy are discomfort during treatment and temporary bruising.

FAT BURINING MUSCLE STIMULATION

FAT BURINING MUSCLE STIMULATION EMS device allows you to engage in deep, intense, and complete muscular contractions without activating (or stressing) your CNS—not to mention your joints and tendons. Other studies have shown EMS to be helpful for everything from pain management to helping increase muscle blood flow for warming up prior to performance-related activities.

30 minutes of high-frequency current therapy via a series of electrodes placed on their stomachs. The subjects did these sessions three times per week for six weeks. After those six weeks, the researchers measured the subject’s waist circumference, body mass index, subcutaneous fat mass (fat under the skin), and total body fat percentage.
